TARIFFS

StreamLines N.V. is compelled to charge demurrage and surcharges, both are adjusted on a regular basis.

Demurrage eastbound and westbound charges are those costs which are incurred when a container with cargo, or a cargo devanned from a container, is held at carrier's discharge port CY or CFS, or destination point CY or CFS, or destination point CY or CFS, or at carrier's Destination Interchange Terminal (DIT), beyond the permitted free demurrage time as stipulated in the applicable rule in this tariff.

One of the most important surcharges are the Terminal Handling Charges (THC). These are additional costs due to the terminal operator in respect of container movements prior to loading onboard or discharging from a vessel. THC varies from port to port and are collected from shippers by the shipping lines.
