In December 2017 the ELD (Electronic Log Data) mandate has been adopted, which prohibits truckers from being behind the wheel for more than 10 hours a day.

As a result a single driver can only cover a distance of 300 miles in a single day. For distances beyond 300 miles from origin, trucking companies have started to institute lay-over charges to allow drivers the legally mandated down-time before continuing their journeys.

Consequently, to ensure the continued provision of our seamless door-to-door services, StreamLines will apply an additional Lay Over Fee effective, March 18, 2018.
